Billing & Usage
The Billing & Usage tab in Team Hub shows how many of your team’s deployment slots are in use. This page also explains how the team’s shared slots work for everyone on the team.
Required role: Billing Admin
Rogue Labs grants Billing Admin; email [email protected] to request it. It opens this tab only and gives no deployment or team-management access. Without it, the tab is greyed out.
Reading the Tab
Section titled “Reading the Tab”The Deployment slots card shows:
- Slots used: slots in use out of the team’s total, for example “7 / 10”, with a bar.
- How many slots are unused.
If your team has no slot pool, the card says This team has no deployment pool.
To get more slots, email [email protected] to request a quote.
How Team Deployment Slots Work
Section titled “How Team Deployment Slots Work”Your team shares one pool of deployment slots.
- Deploying a lab or launching an Architect build takes one slot.
- The slot stays in use until that deployment is removed, including while it’s turned off.
- Labs that run in the team pool don’t use anyone’s VM hours. The deploy dialog’s last step shows Funded by your team.
Lab Admins can see which deployments hold the team’s slots on the VM Management tab.
When the Team’s Slots Are Full
Section titled “When the Team’s Slots Are Full”When a team member deploys and every slot is taken, Pre-Check shows Team deployment slots are full and says how many to free, for example “Your team is using 10 of 10 deployment slots. Choose 1 to remove.”
- Click Choose deployments to remove to open Make room.
- Tick as many deployments as it asks for.
- Click Remove 1 and continue. The number matches how many slots need freeing.
The chosen deployments are removed when the new lab starts. See Deployment Slots and Funding for the full steps.
Members can remove only their own deployments. If none of the deployments holding slots are theirs, Pre-Check lists the team’s Lab Admins to ask. While a member has nothing deployed, their dashboard also shows Your team’s deployment slots are in use.
Lab Admins can free a slot held by any teammate. They can tick a teammate’s deployment in Make room, or click Remove deployment on the VM Management tab.
If your team’s pool has no slots at all, members see No team deployment capacity and can’t start labs until Rogue Labs adds slots.
Teams Without a Slot Pool
Section titled “Teams Without a Slot Pool”If your team has no deployment pool, each member’s labs run on their own VM hours, the same as on a personal account. When those hours run out, the lab’s row on the dashboard shows Out of VM hours and the lab is saved and powered off.
Team members can’t buy Lab plans or hour packs. An Org Manager can give them VM hours with a voucher. See VM Hours and Lab Plans for how VM hours are used.
