Plugin Requests
If you need a plugin that doesn’t exist yet, you can submit a request through the Plugin Request system. Requests are tracked on a Kanban-style board visible from the scenario canvas.
Submitting a Request
Section titled “Submitting a Request”From the Plugin Requests panel on the canvas:
- Click Submit Request
- Enter a title — a short name for the plugin you need
- Add a description — explain what the plugin should do, what OS it targets, and any configuration details
Your request is submitted and enters the review pipeline.
Request Pipeline
Section titled “Request Pipeline”Requests move through four stages:
| Stage | Description |
|---|---|
| Submitted | Your request has been received and is awaiting review |
| Approved (Pending Creation) | A reviewer has approved the request and it’s queued for development |
| Approved (Plugin Created) | The plugin has been built — you can now use it in your scenarios |
| Rejected | The request was declined, with a reason provided |
Tracking Your Requests
Section titled “Tracking Your Requests”The Plugin Requests panel shows your requests organized by status. Each request card displays:
- Request title and description
- Submission date
- Current status
- Reviewer response (approval or rejection reason)
- Link to the created plugin (once built)
When to Use Plugin Requests
Section titled “When to Use Plugin Requests”Plugin requests are useful when:
- You need a specific capability that no existing plugin covers
- You’ve searched the Plugin Browser and can’t find what you need
- You want Rogue Labs or your team’s plugin developers to build something specific
If you have the Rogue Architect permission, you can also create plugins yourself instead of waiting for a request to be fulfilled.
