Browsing Plugins
The Plugin Browser is the discovery hub for all available Ansible plugins. You can search, filter, and sort plugins before adding them to your scenarios or cloning them for customization.
Accessing the Plugin Browser
Section titled “Accessing the Plugin Browser”Open the Plugin Browser from the Rogue Architect sidebar. It shows all plugins you have access to — your own, your team’s, Rogue Labs official plugins, and community-published plugins.
Searching and Sorting
Section titled “Searching and Sorting”Use the search bar at the top to find plugins by name. Results can be sorted by:

| Most Used | Ranked by how many times the plugin has been added to scenarios (default) |
| Name | Alphabetical order |
| Latest Release | Most recently published first |
| Category | Grouped by plugin type |
Filtering
Section titled “Filtering”Click the Filter button to open the filter modal. Filters can be combined across all three axes:
By Category
Section titled “By Category”Plugins are organized into seven categories:

By Ownership
Section titled “By Ownership”Filter by who created and maintains the plugin:

| Staff | Plugins from Rogue Arena staff |

By Operating System
Section titled “By Operating System”Filter by compatible operating system — only plugins with templates matching your selected OS will show.
Plugin Cards
Section titled “Plugin Cards”Each plugin in the browser shows:
- Name and description
- Category badge (color-coded by type)
- Creator information
- Usage count — how many times it’s been used in scenarios
- Compatibility icons — which operating systems it supports
Plugin Detail Modal
Section titled “Plugin Detail Modal”Click on any plugin card to open the detail modal. This shows:
- Full description and usage instructions
- Version history with changelogs
- Compatible VM templates
- Dependencies on other plugins
- Permission indicators (whether you can edit, use, or clone)
From the detail modal you can:
- Add to scenario — drag the plugin onto a machine on your canvas
- Clone — create your own copy to customize (if cloning is permitted)
- Open in Plugin Dev — jump to the editor (if you have edit access)
