Rogue Architect
Rogue Architect is the scenario building tool in Rogue Arena. It provides a visual drag-and-drop canvas for designing network topologies, configuring virtual machines with Ansible plugins, and launching real infrastructure builds.
The 5-Phase Lifecycle
Section titled “The 5-Phase Lifecycle”Building a scenario follows five phases — the same phases shown in the Help Me! guided walkthrough inside the builder:
| Phase | What You Do |
|---|---|
| 1. Design Canvas | Layout VLANs, drop machines, add plugins, connect networks |
| 2. Build & Test | Launch a real infrastructure build and monitor progress |
| 3. Templatize | Save your build as a reusable template |
| 4. Curriculum | Create and link teaching content to your scenario |
| 5. Publish | Set permissions and make your scenario visible to users |
Plugin System
Section titled “Plugin System”The Plugin System is where you create, discover, and manage the Ansible plugins that power scenario builds. See the full plugin documentation for:
- Browsing Plugins — Find plugins by category, ownership, and OS
- Plugin Permissions — Control who can edit, use, and clone your plugins
- Creating a Plugin — Write Ansible YAML and define parameters
- Plugin Toolbar — Dependencies, automations, templates, and resources
- Cloning & Versioning — Version management and iteration workflows
- Plugin Requests — Request new plugins from the community
